House Warming Party/ Eid Mubarak Celebration

Yeay, finally the day has arrived...Our own Raya celebration and House Warming party...Darwin and I have planned to do this for quite a while and we're happy that we got the chance to do it with our friends.It turned out great and everybody had fun...i surely did...

It's our first time celebrating raya with our friends in Germany...Darwin and I were in Amsterdam when we celebrated raya.So we thought of inviting our old friends to come over and celebrate raya together...This time we just invited our batch and also the seniors from Krefeld and Dortmund.Insyaallah next year when our house is complete with furnitures and more kitchen utensils,we would do an open house..hee..angan2 tu ada..


Preparation for the event...Bertungkus-lumus kot masak rendang, nasi himpit and marinate satay on the night before...Seriously...What an experience!!! Rendang paling la kan...Hee..Apa yang penting adik-adik? Kerjasama!!! Bergotong- royong masak sangat best.....Im happie and proud of ourselves..we managed to pull it off even though the lack of experience we have....Salute2!

 5 ekor ayam for the rendang...hee..I was afraid that it'll turn into gulai ayam instead of rendang ayam...tido pukul 5 pagi berbaloi y'all...

 Thanx to Fizz for the nasi himpit mini imported from Malaysia..we also did our own nasi himpit by stapling the rice sachet..hee

 Satay and Kuah Kacang.....

Paling best semua orang tanya kenapa ada tiga plate kaler Satay lain2..perasa lain ke?

The secret lies in the way we cooked the Satay..one plate with the oven...one plate with the pan...and another one both ways..xde yang hangit ye..Thanx to Rumitha and Ng...

Lontong buat last minute..Banyak kot benda xde..tempe..udang kering..sup hun..I took a lil bit here and a lil bit there from two recipes to overcome the ingredients we didn't have.Alhamdullillah kena puji lontong sedap...humma2

Fizz baked cornflakes cookies earlier...X sempat letak atas meja for the raya gathering dah habis..hee..I baked my family's specialty...Pisang Lapis...alhamdullillah jadi walaupun pisang kat sini not like those in Malaysia...

Team tetamu yg datang...azizi was taking photo...including darwin and I that'll make us 15 altogether..

 We chatted, got to know each to other better and we played games together...we had tremendous fun..yeah..

Malam pown happening jugak k...We had dinner together before going out to have fun..

I celebrated Hari Raya this year for the first time abroad.My friends (Rumitha & Darwin) and I went to my uncle's house in Rotterdam to celebrate hari raya there.It was great meeting up my uncle (Ayah James), Aunty Jolanda and Falinda again.Aunty Jolanda was surprised to see how thin I've become.Practical and Puasa kot...hee..no worries yáll...I'll try to put on some weight...howoe..


So back to the first day of raya with some flashbacks of what we did before that.

What a small world kan...I met my relative, Ziad at the Embassy.He's doing his Ph.D. in Holland.so yeah..
Darwin, Rumitha and I have planned to go to Amsterdam after the celebration at the Embassy.Turns out, Ziad was also planning to go to Amsterdam.He knows well the whereabouts in Amsterdam.So he became our tour guide...woh..woh..

First time celebrating Hari Raya abroad...It was fun meeting up new people and widening my circle of friends.It was also great to strengthen the family bonds with my relative there.I had tremendous fun...Thanx to everyone especially Darwin, Rumitha, Ayah James, Aunty Jolanda, Falinda, Ziad and the nice people from the Embassy...
