To all you Oreo lovers out there...Get ready for some of the best Oreo recipe's of all time..hee...I got these recipes online. As usual my favourite website, allrecipe.com is there when i need it the most..yeah..I tried the recipe which I think would turn out good and modified here and there to suit my taste and preference.

Oreo Truffels - Getting your hands dirty has never felt so good!!!

The basic oreo balls

Oreo balls coated with fullmilk or white choc and sprinkled with crushed oreos

Oreo balls variety with almond nuts.Oreo balls coated with almond then choc is better than oreo balls coated with choc then almond.

The one on the left is oreo ball coated with fullmilk choc. The right is oreo ball coated with choc and almond. The below one is the nicest of them all, oreo ball coated with almond and then choc. The taste from almond does not overpower the taste of oreo and cream cheese.Highly recommended!!!

Ingredients:
32 oreo cookies (I've tried without the filling and also with the filling) With tasted better!!!
1 package of cream cheese ( 175 g)
300 grams of Baking Chocolate, melted ( It's up to you to use any flavours you like) I'll go for fullmilk choc or white choc...Mhhmmmmm.
200 gram of chopped almond, roasted . (optional)

  1. Finely crush the Oreo cookies.Keep about 1/2 cup if you like to sprinkle the finely crushed oreos as topping later.
  2. Put the crushed Oreos in a medium bowl. Add in cream cheese. Mix the Oreo cookies and cream cheese until well blended. It takes time. Be patient. It is worth it..Trust me!
  3. Roll the mixture into a big ball.Refrigerate for one hour.Or before you do that, you can also straight away roll the mixture into 32 balls, about 1 inch in size and then get them refrigerated. This step is kinda messy.Lick your fingers once you've finished rolling the balls..Nikmat terasa terus...
  4. If you haven't rolled the mixture into balls. Now is the right time to do it.Then, use two forks to roll the Oreo balls with almond or if you don't want to use the almond, straight into the chocolate.
  5. After almond, roll them into the chocolate.Place the balls on baking tray covered with baking paper.Refrigerate them for about 1 hour.
  6. Take a bite and say mmhhmmmmm.

Deep Fried Oreos - It sounds weird right, but it tastes sooo GOOD!!!

  3. Dip the Oreo cookies one at a time and carefully place into the deep fryer or the wok.
  4. Cook until the cookie batter turns golden-brown.
  5. Put them on a kitchen-towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Enjoy them while they are still hot..

Oreo Muffins - Will have you craving for more!!!

Release Your Inhibition...

I bet yáll have heard of the song Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield. It's a wonderful song with a really deep meaning. If we read the lyrics carefully, we would get the real meaning of the song and the message that is trying to be conveyed through it.

The song is telling you that you should be yourself, choosing you path of life without holding back just because of what the world and the people around you think of the things you do.It's about believing in yourself and living your life the way you want it to be.

Everyone has their passion right? You might be doing engineering, doctoring or accounting but your passion is actually in doing something else like modelling, singing, dancing, baking, or even film directing.

I have my own passion and that is baking. It's funny right? But to tell you the truth, I was very close in getting myself into UiTM to do culinary arts but my family and friends stopped me, saying that with my good results, I should further my studies in something more promising.I thought to myself, they are actually right. And Alhamdullillah, I got Jpa's offer to do Mechanical Engineering in Germany. I've always love Physics, so why not, right? Besides, I'm following my dad's footsteps in doing engineering. I know I might be studying engineering but it doesn't mean that I have to stop from doing what I'm really passionate about.

I pernah berangan to do a culinary art course in Switzerland during my long break.Nak try buat chocolate sendiri konon.hehe.Insyaallah one day, who knows kan...Switzerland is world famous for the Swiss Chocolate.Who doesn't know Toblerone? Nestle? It was founded in Switzerland skit arh...

Okay enuff with my angan2...
So what I'm trying to say here is that you should live you life to the fullest, doing the things you like and exploring what the world has to offer. Don't forget a good education is very important for you to have something to fall back on when luck is not on your side. So plan your future well and enjoy doing what you love at the same time.

I would like to share two videos made by my senior, Zainal who is doing his final in engineering but his passion is in directing movies...Interesting huh?

Endredrum - A musical love journey
Part 1

Part 2

Another video I would like to share is a video of my sis and I doing a cover on "This Love".. I was trying to do the T-pain effect a bit..lol..Thanx to Falinda for the recording session..Enjoy!

P.S. I sebenarnya maloe nak letak video ni...I can't sing..howoe...but I want to show that you have to be brave and don't let what people think of you mess up your mind..and most important thing is to just enjoy life....heee..

Hope that you guys enjoyed the videos I've put here. We're not professionals and we are still learning. The most important thing is that we're doing what we love to do and we're not afraid to share and inspire others to do the same.Yeahhhh...

Till the next post....

What's for Dinner?

Creamy & Cheesy Dinner that would make you go Mmmmhhhhmm....Humma2.
I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm the type of guy who would not go for rice that often.I like to vary the food I eat...Varying from rice to noodles to potatoes to bread to pasta and the list goes on and on...

I have tried making three simple great western dishes that I would like to share with you guys.As usual, I got most of the recipes from my favourite website, allrecipes.com and other websites on the internet.I then modify them a bit here and there according to the reviews and my own preferences. Lets get started, shall we?

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Homemade Mac & Cheese..Say no no to ready-made ones..

Ingredients:
2 cups uncooked macaroni
75 gram butter (5 tablespoons)
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups of milk
2 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of processed cheese ( ex : velveeta) Mozarella and parmesan mix together are also nice
2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon butter

This recipe is suitable for a 1-1/2-quart baking dish (about 8 x 8 inch). The baking dish I used was bigger so I made a bigger portion of the recipe. The amount of cheese is actually up to you.If you like the mac & cheese to be cheesy and not too dry, put in more cheese and milk.
  1. Cook the macaroni according to the directions on the package.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat while stirring in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.Add milk gradually. Bring the mixture to boil and keep stirring for 2 minutes or until it thickens.Reduce the heat.
  3. Add both of the cheeses into the mixture, stir until they are melted.
  4. Drain the macaroni and transfer it to the baking dish.Pour the cheese mixture over the macaroni.Mix it well.
  5. Melt one tablespoon butter and add in bread crumbs.Sprinkle this over the top of the macaroni.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees celcius) for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Eat and say Mmmhhhmmmmm...sedapnye...

Spaghetti with creamy white sauce

It should look a bit like this...

But the one I did turned out looking pale cuz I didn't have basil and parsley..hee

Ingredients:
250 gram spaghetti or the portion for 4 person
1/2 cup butter ( 115g )
1 package cream cheese  (225 g)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk
3/4 cup (180g) grated parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
a dash of nutmeg powder (1/8 teaspoon)
parsley
basil for decoration
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, whisk until smooth.Add milk gradually, whisking to smooth out lumps.
  2. Stir in parmesan, pepper and nutmeg. When the sauce has reached desired texture, remove it from the heat.Sauce with thicken rapidly. If you like you sauce to be a lil bit watery, add milk.
  3. Pour the sauce on the pasta and serve.Top it with basil or parsley.
Tips:
Whisking is better then just stirring to make the sauce smoother.Make sure you have a whisk with you.Don't use high heat.Don't worry if the butter and cream cheese did not blend smoothly, after adding milk it'll become smoother and creamy. If you think the sauce is a lil bit too sour, add milk and a lil bit of salt.

Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Gravy

Mashed potatoes with brown sauce

Ingredients:
6 medium potatoes, peeled cubed
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup butter ( 60g) , melted
3/4 teaspoon salt
dash pepper (1/8 teaspoon) add more according to your preference
1 1/2 tablespoons sour cream

  1. Place the potatoes in a pot.Cover the potatoes with water, add a bit of salt and bring to boil.Cook for about 15 - 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.Check by piercing the potatoes with a fork.
  2. Drain the potatoes. Mash the potatoes until slighly smooth.
  3. Add milk, butter, sour cream, salt and pepper. Continue to mash until light and fluffy.
  4. Taste for seasoning. If you think it's too salty add milk.If it's a bit tasteless add salt or paper.I normally don't follow the exact recipe and just go on trusting my taste bud in adding salt and pepper.Hee..
  5. Your mashed potatoes can now be eaten on it's own.
Tips:
Use warm milk does make a lot of difference. It makes it creamy and delicious.

There are so many recipes for the gravy, but i would go for this one based on the reviews.

Ingredients for gravy:
4 tablespoon butter
2 chopped onions ( bawang besar)
1/4 cup all -purpose flour
2 cups chicken stock (or use maggi cube)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter and cook the onions over medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes, until the onions are lightly browned.Make sure the onions are well cooked.
  2. Whisk in flour into the pan, then add the salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes
  4. Add hot chicken stock and cook uncovered for 4 to 5 minutes, until the sauce thickened.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream if desired.
  6. If you like the sauce to be darker brown, add a bit of soya sauce.
So there you have it...recipes for a great dinner..Have fun cooking!!!
Till the next post, Tschuess und mach's gut!!!
