Snow & Sunset at Burg Linn

It was a wonderful day, the sun shines and the roads were covered with snow. A breezy afternoon with a nice temperature of only minus 1 degree. We could actually walk around without getting our fingers frost bitten. :p

So my friends and I decided to go out to get some fresh air and enjoy the mild temperature before it goes back into the deep freeze. We've planned to go to Burg Linn, a water castle located just less than 20 minutes from Krefeld central station. I've been there during autumn and spring but have never experienced the view of the castle during winter.

So I got my camera and tripod ready to take some beautiful shots at the castle. We headed out to the castle just few hours before the sunset so that we get to enjoy the beautiful view of the sun rays painting the snow.Oh how lovely.... :)

Before going into the castle...

The entry to the castle cost about €5. 

With a student card you only need to pay €2.50.

The castle is surrounded by water which is now frozen due to the cold weather...

Kalau tebal skit boleh ice-skating atas tu kan.. :)

Ada wall carpet, antique tables, cannon balls, armor just to name a few..

Stepping into the kitchen...

The thing that caught our eyes was an oil lamp (left in the pic) which was hanging from the ceiling. 

The length and height can be adjusted through this saw-like metal. Very interesting!!!
