Eid ul-’Aḍḥā NRW 2012

On the eve of Raya Aidiladha, I posted a status on facebook
"Alahai nasib perantau di ufuk barat.. Hanya mampu terliur melihat persiapan raya aidil adha di Malaysia.. T.T"

Hee saja je berdrama kejap..On the day of Raya Aidiladha it was a bit quiet in Germany. The Turks celebrated Eid-ul Adha and went for the prayer on Thursday morning. The Arabs here celebrated Eid-ul Adha on the same day as Malaysia. And we, the Malaysian studying in NRW celebrated Eid-ul Adha by having a bbq/potluck gathering last night at our friend's house in Rheinhausen. Teruja sangat!!!

On the night before, I posted a picture on instagram with a caption:
Yang mana satu pilihan kalbu
Untuk dipakai agar tampak bergaya
Buat keluarga dan rakan yang ku rindu
Ku ucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha

I chose to go with the green baju melayu in the middle and wore the sampin as well. Hee semangat raya betul ni. I wore the whole suit, put on my jacket on top and went to the gathering. Tengok2 memang i je yang semangat lebih pakai baju melayu sorunk2...Howoe.. :P

Selamat Hari Raya!

Main dish for the gathering. Grilled Lamb y'all! Terbaekkkkk!

Peja and Hakim bought about 18 kg of lamb meat for the grill.
Makan la kaw sampai puas!

We got variety of food on the table namely nasi minyak, ayam percik, kari kambing just to name a few.

Oh ada Sushi, Bihun goreng, Kuah kacang, mashed potatoes and so much more...

Lovey Dovey at Namsan Tower

Let's get lovey dovey at Namsan Tower, Seoul!
Ok before that kita on lagu Lovey Dovey by T-ara jap..
Lovey Dovey Dovey Uh Uh Uh Uh :p

In Seoul, Nadira and I stayed at Namsan Guest House which is quite near to Namsan Tower. We could see the tower right from the garden roof top of the Guest House. To get to the tower, we had to go through a very steep uphill road that takes less than 10 minutes to Namsan Cable Car. If you're the adventurous kind of person, you might wanna take a stairway path to the top of Namsan Tower. We were not so adventurous, so we decided on taking the cable car which was really awesome and offers a great view along the 10-minute journey.

Return journey is 8000 won per person.

It's advisable to wear suitable shoes when coming to Namsan Tower. It's because of the stairway path that you have to climb up to the top.

Queue early for the cable car and stand at the side so that you get a better view going up the hill.
Kalau duduk tengah2 memang lah nampak dan bau semacam je kan...

Ni baru half of the way...wait for the spectacular view when you're on top of the Namsan Tower.

The stairway path to the top...

Presenting the famous Namsan Tower!!!

There's a myth that if you bring a lock, write the names of your loved ones on it and place it here, your love  will be locked forever. Alololo sweet letew...

The cute couple seat...I plak #foreveralone duduk atas kerusi ni..T.T

I felt your love for the first time..jom berjiwang kat sini...

There's an outdoor terrace for a panoramic view of Seoul City from the top.
Kat Terrace ni memang penuh ngan locks symbolizing love between couples..How sweet...

We decided to go to the N-Seoul tower late in the evening so that we would be able to experience the sunset from Namsan Tower.Oh and if you come late, you can have a view of the tower lighting show which starts at 6pm.

Sementara menunggu sunset kita makan Churros dulu.. :)

Isn't it breathtaking?

Now you get the night view of Seoul City...Simply amazing!

Other than love locks, you can also find love tiles at the Namsan Tower souvenir shop..
Macam2 idea dorunk ni..
The view of Namsan Tower at Night...

I had a wonderful time at Namsan Tower. The panoramic view from this place is simply amazing. You'll be mesmerized with the breathtaking view of Seoul city. Oh and you'd also have a great time aweing and laughing at the messages on the love locks. So if you're coming to Seoul, don't forget to take an uphill road to the Namsan Tower. Bring your loved ones along and have a sweet memory up there. :)

Jeju Island on a sunny day...

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day...

We were so lucky cuz the sun shines on the 2nd day we were on Jeju Island. On the first day it was raining so we didn't get the chance to do any outdoor sightseeing. So on the second day we tried to cover as much outdoor activities as possible. :)

As I've mentioned in my previous post, we only managed to cover the west and south parts of the island. So the outdoor attractions that we went to are mainly located in these parts of the island. Most of these attractions have reasonable entry fees but there are also some that you can enter for free. So if you get the opportunity to come here, just explore and get excited with the great outdoor activities Jeju Island has to offer. You'll not regret it!

Cheonwhang-sa Temple
In the olden days, this temple was a famous place that served as a hermitage.Sadly, most parts of the temple are almost ruin. Tourists can still enjoy main parts of the building which have undergone renovation such as the main prayer hall and the residence hall of the monks. Admision is free!

O'Sulloc Tea Museum
This museum is a great place for those out there who are interested in getting to know the history of green tea and Korean tea culture. Visitors will get the chance to view many types of tea and enjoy the famous green tea ice-cream here.

Hallim Park
If you're a nature lover, this is a must place to visit. It offers a variety of beautiful gardens than can be enjoyed in any season.Tourist will get to visit Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden just to name a few. The most famous attractions would be Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves which are known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world.

Glass Castle
It was like a wonderland at this amazing Glass Castle. You'll get to see colourful architectures and models made out of glass. Simply awesome! The light effect on the glass creates a beautiful view that will leave you feeling amazed. Such a great outdoor activity to be explored!

So, this is the last post on Jeju Island. I had a tremendous time here.
I'm so glad that we made the decision on coming to this island. There are a lot of magnificent sightseeing places that we've enjoyed on this Island. I would definitely recommend this place if you're going to Korea. ;)
