We were so lucky cuz the sun shines on the 2nd day we were on Jeju Island. On the first day it was raining so we didn't get the chance to do any outdoor sightseeing. So on the second day we tried to cover as much outdoor activities as possible. :)
As I've mentioned in my previous post, we only managed to cover the west and south parts of the island. So the outdoor attractions that we went to are mainly located in these parts of the island. Most of these attractions have reasonable entry fees but there are also some that you can enter for free. So if you get the opportunity to come here, just explore and get excited with the great outdoor activities Jeju Island has to offer. You'll not regret it!
Cheonwhang-sa Temple
In the olden days, this temple was a famous place that served as a hermitage.Sadly, most parts of the temple are almost ruin. Tourists can still enjoy main parts of the building which have undergone renovation such as the main prayer hall and the residence hall of the monks. Admision is free!
O'Sulloc Tea Museum
This museum is a great place for those out there who are interested in getting to know the history of green tea and Korean tea culture. Visitors will get the chance to view many types of tea and enjoy the famous green tea ice-cream here.
Hallim Park
If you're a nature lover, this is a must place to visit. It offers a variety of beautiful gardens than can be enjoyed in any season.Tourist will get to visit Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden just to name a few. The most famous attractions would be Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves which are known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world.
Glass Castle
It was like a wonderland at this amazing Glass Castle. You'll get to see colourful architectures and models made out of glass. Simply awesome! The light effect on the glass creates a beautiful view that will leave you feeling amazed. Such a great outdoor activity to be explored!
So, this is the last post on Jeju Island. I had a tremendous time here.
I'm so glad that we made the decision on coming to this island. There are a lot of magnificent sightseeing places that we've enjoyed on this Island. I would definitely recommend this place if you're going to Korea. ;)
Till the next post
Tschüss und mach's gut!
