If you're not the kind of person who loves shopping, you can go sightseeing. You can do some cheese tasting, stop and smell the blooming flowers, get on a bike and explore Amsterdam city, take a canal tour, explore Dutch art, discover the cannabis coffeeshop culture or even take a sneaky peek in the Red Light district.. :p
I was there last two weeks with my friends. We got to experience Amsterdam like never before. The lakes were frozen, the city was a bit gloomy, not many people in the city and most of the stalls were closed. Nevertheless we had fun exploring the city and enjoying the great views that it has to offer.
